Rtm Notifier Updated
Uncategorized 5 Comments »Before I talk about the notifier I would like to start with a little shameless self promotion, I’m currently looking for work, so if you want to know a little more about me click here
Ok, the post can start for real now
We’ll I’ve finally managed to get the next version of the notifier out of the door, its taken a while due work and family commitments but this upgrade is a lot more functional now, hopefully you’ll find it of use.
What does it do?
the notifications display
- due date
- the task title
- a link if the url field has been filled in
- coloured borders to indicate priority

It allows you to postpone for 15 mins, postpone for a day, complete or delete a task from a tasks notification
![]()
It enables you to add tasks to remember the milk through rtm’s gmail gadget which is embedded in the app to make things easy

It allows you to select what tasks you are notified about by selecting lists (or by tagging a particular task), so during work you could set it so that you are only notified about tasks due on your work list and then change over to other lists when you finish work

You can customise how the notifications are displayed
- by default they will disappear after a few seconds
- notifications can be make “sticky” (to stay on screen until closed by you)

By default due tasks are only displayed once, if you have an important task (or list of tasks) you can set them to display every time the app checks for tasks (5 minutes) by adding an “rtmn-nag” tag to the task or selecting nagging in the lists section

For more details of what it does check out the faq page
This is still a beta product, so its not going to be perfect but hopefully you’ll find it useful.
